 "...... and I want to share my experience with Sorenson Construction to help in your building decision.  I started building a house in 2003 with another builder in Tilden’s Grove neighborhood.  The initial builder ended up being a complete disaster. Many issues with the first builder ranging from not building the house timely (18 months and not even framed), doing shoddy work and not making appropriate change orders or using common sense.  Lawyers were involved and ultimately the initial builder was fired half-way through the project.

There I was with a complete mess on my hands.  No builder and a project not even half finished.  I approached Bob Sorenson to see if he could fix the first builder's mistakes and complete my house.  Bob and I walked the construction project and had several discussions about changes needed, time lines, warrantees and cost. 

Working with Bob and Jody was a complete pleasure.  We worked out a contract to complete the job (very straight forward).  Bob and Jody listened to what I would like to have done with the house and provided insight on structural design changes.  Bob understood my concerns with the old builder and acknowledging his faith in his team, took full liability of the home warranty.  We reached an agreement and moved forward with the RE-construction of our home.  Sorenson Construction was very accessible for questions during the building process which helped lower any anxiety I might come across.  I noticed Bob on site often making sure the building was done correctly and if anything needed to be changed he would initiate, I did not have to point it out.

It’s coming up on a year in the new house and even though we closed the Sorenson’s have been very good and timely with any punch list items.  My experience building a house was horrible on the account of what the initial builder put us through.  I can’t speak enough on how important it is to find a great architect and builder to make this process enjoyable.  If I would have reached out to Sorenson Construction initially, my building process would have been a completely different experience.  I can’t speak enough praises for Bob and Jody.  They are good at what the do; they have a very good team and they care, a combination hard to find.

Feel confident choosing Sorenson Construction to build your house from start to finish. In the industry of building and construction, they are known as one of the “good guys”.
